Fall Card Class Aug. 25, 2018

Here we are, the last class of the year. Due to me being busy getting ready and participating in the craft show circuit this winter I have decided to put the card classes on hold for the next six months.

In this class we are going to be making three fall cards that can be used as Thanksgiving, Birthday or any Fall related occasion. Then we will make one Christmas card using one of the NEW stamp sets from the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Holiday catalog that will be available Sept. 5 – Jan. 2, 2018. Actually all the stamps and DSP used for these cards are from the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Holiday catalog.

We will also be making one project that can be used as a gift for your guests at your holiday place settings. This project will be revealed at the class for attendees only.

I will provide all the supplies and materials needed to complete all four card and the project.

I will provide instructions and you get to take home your own samples for future reference.

I will provide coffee, water and iced tea. You may bring a snack to share if you would like but it is not required.

Class Date: Saturday, August 25, 2018

Class Time: 10 am to 12 pm

Class Fee: $15.00

Please RSVP by August 22,2018 to reserve your seat. Phone: 520-509-1209 (do not have text messaging) call me!

Be sure to bring a friend and come join the fun as we round out this year with a “jolly good harvest party”. Ok, so I have been watching a lot of old movies lately while I have been crafting and that old speak has crept into the yea old brain. Anyway, I hope that you will join us and I promise I won’t be talking like that in class.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Stationery Box

Oh, I am so excited to show you this cute stationery box I made last night while watching Maymay Made it Crafts on You Tube. I hope that you enjoy this video, it explains it all.

Sorry about that, I guess I talked a little too much because, I ran out of time and my camera cut me off. Well, what did you think of the layout for this project? Please leave a comment below with your ideas, pictures or suggestions you might have I would love to hear from you!

Here are a few still photos for you to take a look at as well.

You know I think this would be a great project for us to work on in our card class this Saturday, August 26, 2017. What do you all think? Let me know if you just want to make all the cards or if you would be interested in making the whole thing.

Now to recap, this was not my original idea I got this from Maymay Made it Crafts, so please go check out her site. She also has a shop and sells all kinds of craft items, plus her You Tube tutorials are awesome. Very talented lady with some wonderful ideas.

If you have any questions or suggestions about this project please contact me and if you have ever made one of these before I would love to see what you did. I am going to make a Christmas one next and when I get that one done I will post some pictures of it as well.

Oh, almost forgot I wanted to share with you the cards we made in our last class, because remember I only posted the layout samples not the actual cards we made. So take a look and let me know what you think.

There is always something to be Thankful for.

We had a great morning in our card class. We created three different cards, as listed in the previous post, and we even went over the new Stampin’ Up Annual catalog coming out June 1, 2017. The ladies loved their new catalogs I gave them and couldn’t wait to get them home and start making their wish lists. Honestly I have already gone through mine a couple times and dog eared quite a few pages and made notes next to the “must have NOW” ones! Anyways back to the class, everyone got to take home all three cards that they made and a couple of my ladies that have been coming to my classes for a whole year now got a little gift from me as a thank you. I really love these get together’s because we always have a good time and all these ladies are so creative, not only do I teach them but they give me ideas and teach me little tricks too.

If you would like to receive one of the New Stampin’ Up Annual Catalogs then please contact me and I will be happy to send you one or you can contact your local demonstrator and request one. Also go to my Stampin’ Up website and check out all the awesome sales that they are having right now until June 1, 2017. After June 1, 2017 all of the items listed in Occasions 2017, Holiday Carryover and Retiring Products will no longer be available. There are some really cute stamp sets and embellishments that you really don’t want to miss out on. Happy shopping!

Hope you all are having a great weekend and enjoying all those bar-b-que’s going on out there. Have fun but please don’t drink and drive! That’s all I have to say about that…

Recent Projects

Well here we are the last couple days of November, and is everyone ready for the madness of December? Do you all have all your Christmas decorations up yet? Have you started baking and picking up presents, or wrapping them if you are already done shopping? If you said yes to any or all the above, then good for you because you are way ahead of me. Normally the day after Thanksgiving I start making Tamale’s and decorating the house for Christmas. This year I have not started anything! After I run a couple errands in the morning I am hoping to get started on the decorating. I will share with you my progress as we go.

For now here are some pictures of the most recent projects that I have made for Two Plates Full.

This little snow covered house also lights up.

This is a real glass car ornament that I glued to the base of this card and it turned out so cute.

This is such a fun little ginger bread card with chocolate cake gift box.

This was so much fun making and surprisingly it turned out just how I invisioned it when I saw this little lighted Santa ornament in the store.

I think that this is my most favorite card so far. I saw these nut cracker ornaments at Micheals and had to have them because this is exactly what I had in my head to do with them. I love it when an idea really comes together.

My little ginger bread boy and girl with all the trimmings.

Ginger bread boy and girl card #2. They both turned out so cute.

This one was fun and I want to make more of these in different colors. I believe that you will be seing this little truck in many different cards in the future. 11-23-2016-064

This is one of my favorite smaller box cards.

These are my two different versions using the November – Paper Pumpkin kit. The one on the right is a shaker card.

This is my little black, red and white votive tea light cake with matching gift box.

The following are the Christmas version.

The following are the Birthday ones.

Am working on a few more Christmas, Birthday, Retirement and Hanukkah box cards large and small for next weeks order and a couple custom orders. This is going to be one busy week.

Well I hope that you enjoyed the pictures, let me know what you think and which one or ones are your favorite.

Create something beautiful today!

October Card Kit

Hello everyone! Last night I came up with this brilliant idea,(LOL) I hope that you enjoy my little brain storm idea.  My idea is to post 4 different card kits for you to purchase that are Halloween themed.

You do not have to sign up or be required to purchase any product. If you choose not to purchase the card kit from me then just copy the picture I post and make it your own, use your own stamps and papers to create something exactly alike or change it up a bit to personalize your card.

The fun thing about card making is that it’s ok to copy someone else’s layout and make it your own, actually most times it is encouraged. But if you are going to post your cards it is nice to mention where you got the idea or if you know the website or person’s name to reference them as well. Under each photo you will notice I referenced where I got the idea for that card.

CARD # 1

I got this layout idea from DOstamping with Dawn go check out her site she has some awesome cards, very talented lady.

This is one of my own ideas.

This is another one of my ideas.

I got this card idea from the Stampin’ Up Holiday Catalog, page 52. They used this design on the front of a gift bag and I turned mine into a card.

Each one of these kits will come with everything that you see here to put these cards together, plus a matching envelope. The only thing that you will need to provide is the adhesive.

Kit price : $3.99 each. Please go to my Store tab above where you will find them listed.

Be sure to list the Card # when purchasing individual card kits and how many of that particular card. When purchasing all of them be sure to mention that you would like to purchase all of them and how many of each.

Let me know what you think of my brain storming idea. Should I do this again? How often should I have something like this? Leave me a comment below.

Have a creatively crafty day!

Halloween Box Card

Here is another Halloween Box Card that I made last week that I wanted to share with you. This card also folds flat for mailing.

This card was made using stickers from Micheal’s, designer paper I got last year from Micheal’s, Stampin’ Up cardstock, the tree and bats are from the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies by Stampin’ Up, and the little house is cut out of the Halloween Night Specialty DSP by Stampin’Up. The paper in the background are two more patterns in the Halloween Night Specialty DSP pack by Stampin’ Up. The wahsi tape and baker’s twine in the background are also from Stampin’ Up under the Halloween Night suite. To purchase any of the Stampin’ Up items just go to my Shop 24/7 Stampin’ Up icon on the right hand side of your screen, click on shop now and you will find them in the Holiday Catalog or you can just contact me and I will assist you.

Now go have fun and create something spooky for Halloween.

Kids Halloween Box Cards

Here are the Kids Halloween Box Cards that I made on Saturday, September 17, 2016. I had a lot of fun making these. Thinking like a kid and trying to remember what I liked as a kid is how I put these cards together. Take a look and let me know what you think. Oh, and all these cards fold flat so that you can put them in an envelope and send through the mail with regular postage.

Sorry, it was sort of overcast outside when I took these so the pictures didn’t come out quite as crisp and clear as usual.

Well it is time for me to get some shut eye, I am exhausted. I will post tomorrow pictures of what I have been doing today.
