Beautiful

Have you ever really looked around you to see the beauty surrounding you?

The birds are chirping away, the sun is out and there is a light breezy flowing through the house as I have all the windows and doors open to let in the fresh air. As I sit here at my dining room table with my laptop writing these words I am listening to the birds outside, the washer and dryer going upstairs, the neighborhood kids coming home from school, occasionally a dog will bark off in the distance, and a plane flying overhead. To me this is my beautiful, because I appreciate these little moments of peace and serenity. I am so thankful that I live where I live and that I get to enjoy these moments, that I have a wonderful life with an awesome man. No my life is not perfect, I am not perfect and I do not live a financially wealthy lifestyle, but I believe in God and no matter who we are or what our lifestyle he has given us the ability to see the beauty around us in everything, every day if we choose to and so I choose to. Some of you may see me as simple or boring and that is fine, but at this point in my life I enjoy simple and boring, plus I believe that if more people began to appreciate the more simpler things around us in nature and life then maybe we would be more gracious with one another.

So, let me know what your beautiful was or is today, I would love to hear about your day!

Yes, I know that this is a little short but I just had to get this down and share with you this moment. Below are some pictures I just took to share with you this moment.

The first one is our front door looking out, the next two are from the front porch looking out over our front yard and the last two are the back patio and our very first cactus for the backyard. Yes, we live in the desert so desert landscaping is pretty much the norm around here and it is very beautiful when everything is in bloom, like this time of year.

This is my request to you for this week – Take a moment every day to just stop and look around you, listen, smell, taste or touch something and savor this moment of beauty in your life whatever it may be, because you will never have that moment back again. Every moment in your life matters, because you matter, so make every moment count.

Namaste,

Sheila
